Since 2015 we have been Spotlight Stockmarket's technology partner and IT architect, taking them from a local server to a fully cloud-based solution in Azure, building the public site, API and investor services, connecting real-time integrations for market data, press releases and insider information, and building an AI-assisted tool for regulatory review.
A marketplace lives on current, accurate and always-available information, but operations ran on a local server, with all that means for scalability and security.
When our collaboration began in 2015, Spotlight's solution ran on a local server. For a marketplace with high demands on availability, security and real-time data, that was neither scalable nor future-proof.
What was needed was a long-term technology partner who could modernise the platform, build and integrate new services, and take overall architecture and security responsibility as the business evolved.

From a local server to the cloud
We moved Spotlight from a local server to a fully cloud-based solution in Microsoft Azure, public site and API in a scalable, reliable environment, including moving DNS to Azure.
New public site with real-time data
We built a new public site on Umbraco and .NET with real-time market-data integration, and adapted the solution as the company's trading venue moved between Nasdaq and NGM.
Customer portal and self-service IR pages
A customer portal in .NET for customers, listing processes and company data, with BankID and digital signing, plus widgets in .NET (Server-Sent Events) where companies set up their own IR pages with real-time data.
Integrations and editorial content
We built the integrations that power the site: Millistream for press releases, Modular Finance for insider information, and feeds from editorial partners who continuously send analyses for publication.
IT architect and security
We are Spotlight's technical sounding board and IT architect, and have strengthened security by reducing the attack surface, raising the Secure Score and carrying out security reviews in Microsoft 365.
AI-assisted regulatory review
We built Sherlock and Watson, an AI-assisted tool for regulatory review that helps Spotlight analyse and quality-assure information against regulations, faster and with greater accuracy.
